22nd August 2013 – Health and Social Care Round Table

Representatives from Health & Social Care sectors are warmly invited to participate in a Roundtable discussion at the Royal Society of Edinburgh

On Thursday 22nd August the Royal Society of Edinburgh’s Digital Inquiry will be hosting a roundtable discussion on digital participation in relation to health and social care.

We would like to hear about how the internet and digital media can be used in the support and delivery of health and social care services, and what barriers and restrictions organisations and service providers face in using digital media in this way. We are keen to hear about the potential opportunities, benefits, or risks to the delivery of health and social care associated with increased digital participation.

This discussion will inform the Royal Society of Edinburgh’s Digital Participation Inquiry. The Inquiry Committee will produce a report with recommendations for Spreading the Benefits of Digital Participation based on its findings.

The discussion will take place from 2pm to 4pm at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, 22-26 George Street. If you would like to attend this event, please contact Liz Hemsley on ehemsley@royalsoced.org.uk or call 0131 240 2789.

Please share this invitation with colleagues who might be interested
